I've repaired countless shed floors, and the problem is nearly always the same: bearer ends sitting in damp, slowly rotting away.
Years ago, I tried solving it with bits of damp-proof membrane - I've seen the results of others trying wrapping timber in plastic, laying sheets of damp proof membrane , cutting patches of roofing felt. But every method had the same flaw: moisture got trapped or pooled underneath, and the timber still rotted.
That's why I developed the Dryboot.
It's a plastic support that lifts your bearer 15mm off the ground, keeping it clear of moisture and allowing airflow. Each Dryboot comes with three 3mm spacers for levelling - 10mm and 20mm spacers are available for bigger adjustments.
The Dryboot shed bearer support with 3mm shims. The larger 10mm and 20mm shims are used where bases slope or are uneven
It's a simple, permanent fix for one of the most frustrating problems in shed building.
Place the Dryboot where your bearer will rest - no digging or fixing needed.

Drop the timber bearer into the saddle. Use the included 3mm spacers to level. Optional 10mm and 20mm spacers available.
The self weight of the floor then the shed holds the dry boot in position

Dryboot gives your shed floor the clean start it needs - no rot, no wobble, and no faffing around with bricks or felt.
Each Dryboot unit includes:
1 x Dryboot support with 3 x 3mm levelling spacers
Optional: 10mm and 20mm spacers (for use on sloped or uneven ground)
10mm spacer on the left and 20mm spacer on the right
Example: A 6x8 ft shed with 3 bearers would typically use 12 Dryboots

How many Dryboots do I need?
Use 600mm spacing for bearers and Dryboots. For a 6x8 shed: 3 bearers × 4 supports = 12 Dryboots.
Will Dryboot work on uneven ground?
Yes. Each unit comes with 3x 3mm spacers. 10mm spacers are available for larger adjustments.
What size timber does it fit?
Fits standard UK bearers: 45-50mm wide.
Do I need concrete or paving slabs underneath?
Any firm, level surface works: compacted soil, slabs, timber pads, or concrete blocks.
Can I use this for new sheds or just repairs?
Both. Great for new builds or as part of a floor upgrade or repair.
What's it made of? Will it last?
Durable, water-impervious plastic. Built for long-term outdoor use.
Rotten bearers are one of the most common - and costly - problems in shed construction. Dryboot gives you a simple, affordable way to stop the damage before it starts.
