Garden room built from pallets

by Paul
(England)

I am thinking about building a garden room using pallets then wrapped in polythene and over clad horizontally with more pallet wood, the inside will be clad with 3mm ply.

Has anyone attempted anything similar to this before ?

Pallets are great!
by: Hugo (Suffolk, UK)

Hi, I am a great fan of pallets. I have built 3 buildings/sheds from pallets on our small holding as well as screening around a mobile home (another shed!).

I creosote the pallets as they are generally not preserved, then use a breathable membrane on the outside before cladding with featheredge.

The other advantage of pallets is they make an ideal cavity for stuffing with rockwool. On the inside I have used either 9mm ply or OSB. I now have a good supply of 2m x 3m pallets from a kitchen workshop which are a great size and can be cut to suit rather than joining too much.

I'll get round to posting one of my projects one day!!

good luck!

Hugo
