Shed Building Monthly

Issue 52 - December 2017

Hi,

Welcome to the December edition of Shed Building Monthly.

Just wanted to thank all of those who contacted me after the last edition lots of really useful comments, tips and suggestions. All of which I have used to further improve the shed roofing page.

One particular comment was that I had completely omitted to mention Metal Shed Roofs. These are a popular and durable option. They are most common on larger sheds but work well even on small sheds such as beach huts or those found on allotments. So here we go with the first slice of information on selecting the right metal sheets for your shed.

Did your granny ever knit you a jumper?

My granny used to.

However Jo (a 70 year old Grandma from Mid-Wales) is more into building sheds than knitting jumpers. Jo sent in a project review of her latest shed . Her forte is using re-cycled materials including using doors (complete with handles) for the roof!

Great job Jo! If you would like your shed featured next month, lots of people would really appreciate seeing it!

2017 is nearly over

2018 is beckoning, so I hope that I can be one of the first to wish you a Merry Christmas. There is much to look forward to next year. I have a very exciting project on the horizon. Can’t say too much about it at the moment but if you are planning on building a shed in the first half of next year. I may be able to help you, in quite an unexpected way.

Hope you have a great holiday season.

John

PS. Please forward this e-mail to your friends/family who may be interested in building a shed or even just great shed architecture!
