11 x 16 Lifetime Shed

by Roy

The 11x16 Lifetime shed appears to be well thought out and designed. However, the assembly process is complicated and confusing. The assembly instruction book is full of part numbers to identify the parts. However, no parts are marked with any of the numbers shown in the instructions, leading one to spend a lot of time trying to match up a part to the less than clear drawings.

Lifetime customer supports answer to this problem is that if the parts were marked the shed would cost more. However, we found made in China stickers and patent stickers all over the parts. Some parts were missing and the door header did not line up properly requiring modification.

Assembly tip: do not torque up the bolts for the truss, wall support attachments until the roof is fully in place or the whole shed will be out of alignment making the last roof panels impossible to line up.

Lifetime customer support is marginal at best. Good luck trying to get someone at Lifetime to answer the phone.
