Where to Build Our Shed?

We are trying to decide whether our new shed should be close to the house or back in a quiet area at the rear of the garden.

Much of our potting is for house plants and cuttings, but we want to store garden equipment as well, we are divided on the best location.

What is your experience or advice?

Best place for a shed???

There a few factors to take into account here

Size of your shed - a small shed can be tucked in to a small corner and will not intrude too much, however a large shed will be very imposing if too close to the house

Size of the plot also make a difference. If the shed is too far from the house then it wont be used as much as one closer. However a close shed is likely to be used as a dump for anything you dont want to find a home for in the house.

A large shed close to the house may restrict the access or view of the remainder of the plot, and thereby render it useless..

so many many things to think about.
