Tiger Wooden Garden Sheds

by Dan Isaacs
(UK)

We are a UK based manufacturer and online retailer of wooden garden sheds, log cabins, playhouses, metal sheds and more.

All of the products on our site have detailed descriptions and have a picture/diagram of every feature and every section of the structures.

Our friendly installation team will help you assemble any garden building and will give you advice on security and maintenance.

We offer large discounts and FREE UK delivery on our sheds and log cabins.

Tiger sheds are pretty strong and to this end did a bit of an impromptu and unusual test on one of their sheds. They got ex-England and Manchester footballer Lee Sharpe to kick footballs at a Tiger shed and one of a competing brand until it disintegrated. You can see the results here.

Shocking non existent Customer Service
by: Anonymous

Avoid at all costs.....

Shed delivered damaged, apparently I have to pay for it to be returned! Only one response from this company, may as well not bother having a phone line as the people are unhelpful. I still have the damaged shed almost 2 weeks later with no sign of resolve from them

New Potting Shed delivered in June
by: Mr & Mrs R

No problems at all to report, the delivery date was a little later than expected but then we also had a holiday so had it not been for that it may have come on time. Everything was supplied with the potting shed and we put it up easily, everything fits well and it looks great. Delivery driver was very helpful and arrived within 10 mins of start of our allocated slot. Looking forward to many years of happy potting.

Quality by name but not nature
by: Nottigersheds

Definition of Quality in my opinion is Expectation + 1. My views of the whole experience:
Not delivered within 10 days.
Not installed within 10 days of delivery.
Poor quality of manufacture and materials. Eg. Wood very green, insufficient struts to stiffen wall panels and floor. Cladding deflects when painting walls, 2 coach screws in each corner hold the walls together & 2 nails on each side hold the flimsy 'Z' shaped truss hanger. Nail gun setting too high causing cladding to split in various places.
Poor quality of installation. Gaps in joints, fascia nails do not penetrate wood as roof decking to thin to nail into.
Poor customer service. Do not return calls
No thought into how a shed should be manufactured let alone put together but then again I'm no expert with 30 years in construction.

excellent

The shed was due to arrive between 9am and 11am and was delivered at bang on 9am. The driver was very pleasant and helpful and unloaded the shed by himself which was handy as I was recovering from a heart attack at the time. Over the next few days and prior to assembly I coated the shed three times with "Acorn Brown" preservative which I think sets the shed off. My mate and I then set about erecting the shed and everything fitted together perfectly and we had it completed, minus the glazing, in about two and a half hours. I then installed the Perspex but did it slightly different from the instructions. I laid each Perspex panel an a bead of clear silicone and held them in place with 9mm pine beading which I cut and pre drilled for the panel pins. I think this makes a neater job than just the bare panel pins showing. The only other addition I did was to strengthen the roof attachment. It was easy enough to grip the gable ends with nails through the roof but I found doing the same front and back was more tricky (maybe just me). To combat this I attached the roof to the back and window panel inside with four L shaped brackets which really did pull the roof tight in. All in all this is an excellent shed, well built to exacting measurements. Although I did a couple of additions the shed would be perfect as it comes so its entirely up to you. Highly recommended and a great price.'

A great British Shed Manufacturer
by: MGP61

I bought the 5' x 4' pent tool shed, this is a great tool shed, good quality and easy to assemble it took around 2 hours with two pairs of hands. Order and purchase process was quick and easy and I was kept informed of progress up to delivery and completion. I would recommend the Tigercare shed preserver you will need two to three coats and it gives a good finish.

Excellent shed
by: AndyMcG

I did a fair amount of prior research having been disappointed with a shed bought previously from a supermarket direct website. Tiger Sheds looked to have a very good product on an easy to search website, and upon order I received great service and a great shed in line with their delivery instructions and timescales.

The shed itself is delivered semi-constructed, so it's relatively straightforward to connect the walls and the roof, and felt the roof. You can buy cheaper from DIY and Supermarket websites, but the quality is not the same and ultimately they're a waste of money as you'd be replacing it in a couple of years.

I'm very impressed with the quality of Tiger Sheds and I'm sure it will last for many years -when we do come to renew I will certainly consider Tiger Sheds first.

I hope that you manage to write your article objectively despite having a negative personal experience with a Tiger Sheds, who, in my experience, are the top UK supplier of sheds for the service, delivery times, prices and of course, shed quality.

Dismal strung out service - but we can do something
by: Anonymous

I too have had a very bad experience with Tiger Sheds

Spent a large amount of money on a log cabin plus installation and it has leaked since the day I got it.

I am still in dispute with this company and would appreciate it if anyone would like to email me their experience.

I am a freelance journalist and I am preparing to write an article on other people's experiences with Tiger Sheds. Nothing without your permission of course.

If you would like to contribute your experience then email me at: scpratt@btinternet.com

lousy service, bad installation
by: Anonymous

Tiger sheds are a terrible company. Took ages to be delivered. I paid to get it installed. It has continually leaked and, despite sending photos and ringing almost everyday for some action, it has taken them a month to respond by finally sending some to have a look.

I am reporting their shoddy work to trading standards. I would encourage everyone else to do the same.

Wow lot's of shed banter! Things are getting heated on my page. Seriously though I'm sure not everyone is happy but I've always heard good things about Tiger Sheds so remember to take every piece of advice at it comes even from disgruntled former employees.

Poor old Tiger Sheds.
by: Anonymous

Looks like they resort to posting a positive comment every time they get a negative one.

Good work guys. No-one will ever suss out what's happening here.

Pretty much sums up the level of intellect behind the operation.

waste of time don't use this company
by: Anonymous

if you want a shed don't bother using this company. go somewhere else anyway to be honest. they are nothing short of lying on their website with regards to the delivery date. They seem to hide behind the small print. I'm seriously considering contacting the local trading standards with regards to false advertising.

still waiting

Same level of service as below
by: Anonymous

Yep I too have waited over a month for my shed to arrive, they are very friendly when you call but its a bit like the sheds are made in a 'magical place' and no one knows when it will be ready. Probably done to stop you cancelling your order when you cannot get it within 10days as "unashamedly promised".

Good sheds I believe poor delivery.

Rude, arrogant lack of customer service
by: Anonymous

I've posted this before, but these guys are the limit. I've never been treated this badly, as a customer, before.

I bought a shed from them almost 2 months ago now, and getting it delivered has been stressful to say the least. They unashamedly feature '8-10 days' delivery time on their site, however I was left waiting for close to a month.

This wouldn't have bothered me, however when they finally called me with a delivery date, I was out of the country and wouldn't be back in time. The level of arrogance, general rudeness and complete lack of customer service demonstrated during the further conversations I had (mostly with a guy called Jack) was beyond belief.

In Jack's opinion, the fact their (now late) delivery slot wasn't convenient to me was entirely my problem. He patronisingly lectured me on not understanding the problems they have with logistics, as if this is somehow the customer's problem! He gave the impression that I was being almost absurd in my request for definite delivery date - showing absolutely no understanding of my concerns. I had to push them to commit to a 2 week window in which they 'might' deliver it. He was particularly quick to cite the 'small print' that the delivery date was an indication only (and looking at other people's experiences, one they rarely stick to).

Jack proudly pointed out how accommodating they were with their specific delivery window 'between 11am - 1pm'. So what happened on delivery day (almost 2 months later now)? Yep - they call me up saying they couldn't deliver till 3pm, by which time there would be no-one at the house to receive the shed. Again I spoke to Jack - completely un-apologetic about their mistake (and their driver told me it WAS their mistake), again arrogantly lectured on reading the small print. I was told I had to be there, or I'd have to pay a re-delivery fee - no concession at all to the fact they'd messed up.

I was left with no option other than to abandon a training course I was on (taking another employee with me), in order to get back home. A massively stressful experience.

The driver, on the other-hand, was both polite and apologetic. If his boss had taken a similar attitude, I might not have been left with such a sour taste in my mouth.

Tigersheds clearly spend a lot of money on marketing (all over the web) and I don't think their product is bad (yet to see) but their attitude to their customers is appalling, and I'd happily pay £100 more and get better customer service.

Hope this helps someone in future.
