Rubbermaid Slide Lid Shed

Rubbermaid Slide Lid Shed

Rubbermaid Slide Lid Shed

Seven years ago I lost my garage, as it became an additional room to our home. Sadly my lawnmower was about to be homeless.

Acting quickly, I purchased my Rubbermaid Slide-Lid Shed while shopping at my neighborhood Home Depot. Today, it still looks great in my backyard. It has held up to the elements season after season. Sure the plastic isn’t as shiny as it was when it was new, but the fading is minimal.

Currently, It houses my lawnmower, portable gas container, a tarp, 2-bags of fertilizer, a water hose, a fertilizer spreader and 3 basketballs.
The locking front swing doors make it very convenient to load and unload the contents inside. And, if I want to drop something inside without opening the front doors I just slide the top (roof) back. The shed’s handy size (5’w x 6’ 7”d x 4’ 6”h) makes it easy to move and doesn’t take up too much of my yard. The dogs and kids appreciate that!

The set up of this shed was so simple that I did it myself. It came with visual and verbal step-by- step instructions and it took me about 30 minutes. The only tools I remember using were a rubber mallet and a screwdriver.

My Rubbermaid SLIDE-LID Shed has been a great investment for me. It’s very functional, it’s held up as far as durability and appearance and I’ve recommended it to several of my neighbors and then helped them assemble theirs.

A suggestion for a product improvement: I’d ask Rubbermaid to design a new model that enables me to lock the top sliding roof panel.
