I am thinking of buying a new shed but would like it to have the dual purpose of storage and workshop. I once saw a shed with an interior dividing wall. Are they still available?

My present shed has quite a lot of spiders and as my wife would like to use it we would like something which is more sealed than the one we have at present.

Sheds and spiders

Sheds with a dividing wall are still available or you can just build a stud wall to separate the two halfs. Having a dual purpose shed like this is a lot more efficient in terms of using space than building two separate sheds. Make sure that the shed as a whole is big enough for both purposes and also you will need two external doors. A door through the internal door is a bit inefficient in terms of space usage.

With respect to the spiders! I think that the best solution here is to line the inside of the shed with plasterboard so that there are less nooks and crannies for them to hide and also it will be easier to do the occasional dust/hoover.
