Extra durable shed roof

I live in West Lothian Scotland.

The winds here are extremly fierce with gusts upto and sometimes over 70 MPH.

I wish to build a small workshop 8 X 12,with a gable roof.

I have noticed thet the large birds (crows/rooks) in this area tend to peck and rip up the felt roofs on my neighbours sheds!

Could you please advise the best type of roof covering in these circumstances?
