Eco-shed Top 3 for Me are

by Brent D
(Plainville CT USA)

1. Locally sourced timber. I had never really given that a lot of thought, but it makes sense to use local timber since it reduces costs and the end result is cost savings for the buyer.

2. Lighting using natural light. Many sheds are closed off and used for storage. By using openings for natural light, it will save money while making the space more usable.

3. A Green Roof sounds interesting. I'll have to read up on it more but it sounds like it would help blend the shed into it's surroundings while helping sustain the environment. Combine that with a natural or earth tone outside wall color and it would look great in the back yard too.

Thanks for starting off the competition Brent. Three good choices there.
