Eco Shed features that I adore

by Grace Ryan
(Ithaca , NY, USA)

I am totally in with the idea of using recycled lumber when ever possible, and for an eco-shed, it's a perfect fit. Save the trees I say, even the ones planted to use for building. Recycling is the way to go!

I'm a sun lover, and to heat my shed I would definitly position it to take advantage of the sunshine. So south or south west exposure it is for me, and with no trees nearby to throw shade because even in the summer, I want more heat and light!

And last but not least, collecting rain water off the roof shed that can be used to water the garden is a excellent way to make use of a gift from the heavens! Free water, from the sky, why not? My plants can't tell the difference but my check book can, when it comes time to pay the water bill!

I like the solar heating
by: John - Admin

Hi Grace
It's mid-winter here at the moment, so anything you can do to make the most of that mid-winter sun is great. I've got an interesting article on passive solar heating planned for the next couple of months.

Thanks for joining in!

John
