The Clear Deck Shed

This shed provides a storage area for garden tools and a covered deck to take a break from work on the garden, enjoy free time or entertain guests. The structural solution chosen for the roof doesn’t require columns on the deck avoiding any physical or visual obstructions in order to allow maximum flexibility of the space and a seamless connection with the surrounding garden. Materials include wood framing, treated wood planks, exterior cement panels and metal roofing.

Cool,but...

I like the design, but as someone else pointed out; where's the market. I don't think I would have much luck selling that shed.

Also, I'd like to see how it looks in real-life. A drawing looks great; lets see how the concrete panels look (I'm not sure how clean any necesary butt-joints will look.)

Intriguing Concept

I can see where you were headed with the concept, and the design of not having any support columns is refreshing; however, I feel it is an incomplete design. It seems to be lacking in something. It doesn't have much warmth and lacks visual appeal - unless you have a very modern home exterior. Even the simple addition of say cedar shakes for the siding would already start to bring some character to it. Perhaps also include some lighting options, or other design feature that helps the consumer better visualize the benefit of the space such as a barbeque or fire pit. More detail with the shed would be helpful, instead of a plain box for stuff. Perhaps the back can open like a large barn door so access is easy, include shelving and racks for hanging items. I like the general concept though. I gave it 3 stars, because I feel this design idea is unfinished.

I find it brutalist and unattractive.

The cement panels are awful.

It looks like a bicycle shed.

Who is the potential market?
Im in London and have a fairly contemporary garden.

I like it, probably enough storage space for most people. Not everyone is a gardener, an advance on decking and smooth, clean lines. I would consider buying if the price was right, perfect for Poolside use. I like the slightly ethereal air about it. Impressed

Only one third is storage so first impression is form over function.

Design is clean and nice but that roof could cause wind swirls when you're relaxing on the lounger.

I like your design. Very modern, clean lines. Someone else mentioned a pool shed and I agree with that. You could keep pool supplies around back and use the covered shade area as a place to escape the sun. However it wouldn't be practical on my small farm. I have way too many garden, yard tools and prefer my trees for relaxing in the shade.

My impression is that the "shade area" is the dominating aspect of this design. The "shed" seems secondary.

Very sculptural. Catch the breeze while you enjoy the shade. I can see this design used poolside. And that back wall is waiting for some art or a few plant pockets.

It's an incredible design. It combines the beauty of sculpture, with the function of shade, privacy, and it has some space for storage. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the storeage area would be too small for all of my junk. I presume the storage area could be enlarged and it would still function as a sculpture, etc. Have you built this shed in an area that gets lots of spring wind?
