[Shed Building Monthly] Think that you can escape sheds whilst lying by the pool?

Shed Building Monthly

Issue 23 - September 2010

Welcome to the September edition of Shed Building Monthly.

I hope you had a great summer and the return to work has been smooth without too many problems.

This year our family were lucky enough to have the use of a friends pool to cool off in on those hot August days. Lying by the pool watching the kids splash about my eye was somehow caught by the small wooden building by the side of the pool, yes the pool house. This particular pool had a simple timber shed as the storage area for all the pool paraphernalia (floats, deck chairs etc etc) and another one which housed the pumps and chemicals that keep the pool running. The machinery shed also housed a family of slow worms (small non-venomous snakes) which was a bit disconcerting the first time that I looked in there.

I chatted with our friends about the arrangement of these pool sheds and they had many ideas for the different options that they considered and how they would do it again given a blank slate. So I have done my best to pull these ideas together and they form the basis for the new content this month.
