Welcome to the July edition of Shed Building Monthly

Firstly thank you to everyone who took the time to comment on my shed design for Alex Johnsons new Shedworking HQ.

Updating my design to become YOUR design was quite some task. Integrating all your suggestions into one finished design took quite some thought. The finished garden office design, YOUR garden office design is here.

Comments on the new improved design are of course welcome.

The enthusiasm with which this project was received renewed my enthusiasm for holding another shed design competition in the Autumn, similar to last years. So get your thinking cap on over the Summer and watch out for ideas you might want to include.

July is National Shed Week in The UK

readershedsUncle Wilco, the shed genius behind readersheds.co.uk has put together a great lineup of judges for this years competition. The judges include Chris Evans, Sarah Beeny, Trevor Bayliss, Alex Johnson, Lloyd Alter, Rico Daniels, Tim and Tony (the winners from the previous two years) and of course Uncle Wilco.

The winners of each of the different categories (I think there are 14) are decided by a vote of vistors to his site and the results of this vote are announced today, 1st of July.

The judges then have a round of voting (and whatever else they do), and the overall winner is announced on Wednesday July 8th. The winner of the photo competition is annnounced the day after on July 9th.

So sign up for Uncle Wilco's RSS feed to make sure that you don't miss out on any of the events.

That's it for this month. Remember to start developing your Fantasy Shed Design Now! Have a great summer and make the most of this great warm weather.

See you on 1st August

Cheers

John
